Synopsis

[Lovecraftian] + [Infinite Flow] + [tabletop role-playing] + [no female lead] + [purely random dice rolls] (New book, low rating is normal) I dedicate this book to everyone who loves tabletop role-playing, or is about to. Ding-a-ling, ding-a-ling, ding-ding... (Animal World theme song) “Welcome, viewers, to the fringes of human civilization, where a strange species of primate thrives: the Cthulhu investigators. They wear trench coats, carry Elder Signs, and live on caffeine and curiosity. Here comes a detective in a deerstalker hat. He's trying to bribe the guard dog with a sandwich so he can sneak into a haunted manor. Unfortunately, the dog couldn't care less about his ham and is drooling over the leather cover of the Necronomicon instead. At a time like this, a chew toy would obviously be more useful. Look! That reporter is pointing her camera at the corner as if she's discovered a new continent. She excitedly presses the shutter, forgetting to turn off the flash, and captures a ‘Deep One’ in the dark as a reaction meme. Now she's setting a new human sprinting record, while her camera holds the first blurry ‘Cthulhu-style beauty shot’ in history. At dawn, these bipedal creatures retreat with dark circles under their eyes and notebooks missing pages. Although a third of the group has checked into a psychiatric hospital, fresh recruits keep coming. After all, what could be a more inspiring urban legend than ‘I saw an indescribable horror, but my boss still thinks I should submit my weekly report’?” We are prisoners of fate, but every now and then, we can stake everything on a single roll and create a miracle!
