Her Highness the Princess Just Wants to Lie Flat

“The Idle Princess’s Many-Layered Schemes: Lie back in the laziest pose, then make the deadliest move.”

Jiang You’s motto in life: If you can sit, don’t stand; if you can play dumb, don’t show your smarts.

While the entire imperial palace is tearing itself apart over the succession, she snacks on melon seeds and watches the show from her princess’s residence:

Her third brother, Jiang Xi, is being raised to the skies as a puppet by the loyalist faction, while the Crown Prince, Jiang Min, is being roasted over a fire by the imperial clan

Her eldest sister, Jiang Xuan, has only embroidered the dragon’s claws on her imperial robe, while her second sister, Jiang Yi, has already sent poisoned wine to Jiang Miao’s bedside;

“What a lively scene...” She bites into a watermelon and kicks her consort. “Pei Zhiyuan, who do you think will die next?”

Until one day, her great-uncle holds a blade to her throat. “Your Highness, it’s time for you to ascend the throne.”

She blinks, dimples appearing as she smiles. “Great-uncle, guess whose head my mother’s hidden guards are chopping off right now?”
