Zehong is an ordinary overworked office drone on a 996 schedule. One accident sends him transmigrating into the world of Honkai: Star Rail, where he goes through two cycles of reincarnation, but loses his memories of the second one.

Zehong: Have we met before?

Herta: Maybe.

After that, Zehong sets out to find his memories from his past life, with Herta always by his side. But the search is fraught with danger. He finally gets his memories back, only for Herta to lose him once again. Zehong completely forgets her, and a long time passes. Still, Herta never gives up on finding him.

Bai Chen: "Zehong? Sorry. Even though you seem familiar, I can't remember who you are. My name is Bai Chen now."
