Fourteen-year-old Lin Xiaoman came to the city from Dashan to study and met eighteen-year-old Chen Yuan. She is simple and diligent, and regards him as an older brother whom she admires; but he has already been moved by her, but he can only hide his feelings in every concern.
When Xiaoman suddenly returned to her hometown due to family changes, Chen Yuan searched frantically, but only found out that she dropped out of school to work and had no news. He was admitted to college, but he could never let go of the girl from the mountains who once smiled at him.
Many years later, when Xiaoman returned to the city with her fiancé to look for her missing sister, Chen Yuan finally learned of her whereabouts. Two days later, he jumped from a tall building and passed away with an obsession that no one knew about.
A few more years passed before Xiao Man accidentally learned the truth. She stood at the station where Chen Yuan had been waiting for her, and she felt as if she had returned to that snowy winter - if she could understand his thoughts at that time, would the ending be different?
