[Alternate historical setting] [Transmigration] [Face-slapping the scum] [Strong female lead]
Chu Ying slowly came to, and as soon as she regained consciousness, she learned one piece of good news and one piece of bad news.
First, the good news: in that terrifying explosion, she had miraculously survived, and her soul had transmigrated into the body of a female general who had disguised herself as a man to enlist in the army.
But the bad news soon followed.
The era she had transmigrated into was the 1950s. To make matters worse, the original owner's secret identity as a woman had just been mercilessly exposed, leaving her in an impossibly awkward situation.
Thinking of the dark years ahead, Chu Ying wanted to pass out all over again.
Fine! Since her identity had been exposed, she wasn't going to keep pretending!
This extraordinary experience convinced Chu Ying that she was the heroine of her own transmigration story.
Hadn't the commander taken a liking to her almost immediately?
But her good days didn't last long. After watching her friend die right before her eyes, Chu Ying forced Chen Mufei to take her away, for the sake of the two children her friend had entrusted to her and their safety.
Watching her pursuers close in, Chu Ying gave a cold smile. She had wanted to lie low in peace until the years had passed, but if they were going to chase her relentlessly, did they really think she was a pushover?
“Commander, we've got trouble. Your wife beat those guys up again...”
Chen Mufei wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. “Not going to mess with her, not going to mess with her. My wife is a decisive female general too.”
It's a frustrating development path. Other protagonists start at a low level but develop upward step by step, but this male and female protagonist starts at a high level but develops downward. So what route does the author want to take in a novel that doesn't have the thrill of promotion or sweet romance? You can't express the darkness and helplessness of that era, right?
