In the fictional twenty-ninth year of the Zhenguan era of the Tang Dynasty, a new age begins after an Empress ascends the throne. In this parallel world, the Tang Empire has early forms of gunpowder and mechanical engineering, but neither has yet developed into a complete system.
The Northern Suppression Prince’s outstanding military achievements arouse the new emperor’s suspicion, but the border army’s interests are deeply intertwined with those of the prince’s household. The protagonist must balance the three factions of the imperial family, the border army, and the civil officials, while resolving everyone’s crises and lying flat.
