I Tell Fortunes, You Snack on Gossip, and Together We Ascend

[No romance + metaphysics + fortune-telling + gossip + feel-good power fantasy + episodic stories] Wen Chu, a high god from the Celestial Realm, unexpectedly winds up inside a book as the mute biological daughter whom everyone humiliates. In the original ending, everyone misunderstands her, and she ultimately dies by suicide, wrongfully accused. Wen Chu strikes back by escaping her birth family, leaving her scumbag parents and white-lotus younger sister to suffer the consequences of their own actions. Her sister sells her off for a ghost marriage? No need to panic. Wen Chu locks her white-lotus sister in a room with the male ghost and lets him torment her instead. People don’t believe in her fortune-telling stall and even give her a hard time? No need to panic. Wen Chu promptly exposes a customer’s juicy secrets! One moment she’s a pitiful god cast down to the mortal realm to undergo a trial; the next, she’s an ancient true god, worshipped by the people with temples built in her honor and prayers rising from the masses as she ascends!
