Deep in Cangwu Mountain lies an ancient ruin, forgotten by the world. Legend has it that a hundred years ago, a strange disaster struck, and an entire village vanished overnight along with its people, leaving behind only crumbling walls sealed with cinnabar. Now, a bizarre dream leads Lin Xu, an archaeology student, to this forbidden place. In the dream, countless withered hands reach up from beneath the earth, and somewhere in the ruins, a pair of eyes seems to watch the intruders.
As Lin Xu investigates further, he discovers that every plant and tree in the ruins conceals a mystery: twisted talismans on the ancestral hall's beams, the sound of a child sobbing from deep inside a cellar, and his companions falling one after another into nightmares they cannot wake from. Even more chilling, before losing consciousness, every victim murmurs to the empty air, “It's coming out.”
When modern technology fails in this haunted place, Lin Xu has no choice but to join forces with Su Yaoning, the mysterious guardian of the ruins, and try to uncover the truth sealed away for ages.
