Jin Nian, As Always, Healing in the Light

[One heroine] [Urban slice of life] [Sweet romance] [No angst]

At the darkest turn of fate, light always arrives in unexpected ways.

Xiang Nan’s world stopped forever when he was seventeen. His first love, Su Yue, was like an unfinished poem, frozen in time on that rainy night when the car accident happened. Their unforgettable five-year romance became yellowed photographs in a suitcase, accompanying him as he entered an unfamiliar college campus.

Everything here was shrouded in gray, until…

“Hey, underclassman, want to sing a song with me?”

“Hey, underclassman, you really helped me out. How about I treat you to a meal?”

“Hey, underclassman, the club fair is tomorrow. Don’t forget to come.”

“Hey, underclassman, this event looks fun. I’ll take you along.”

…

Lin Jinchu was like a beam of light, bursting into his life.

She was the brightest star on campus, yet felt an inexplicable closeness to this gloomy freshman. Fresh as morning dew, she used one melody after another to pry open his tightly closed heart:

An extra serving of sweet-and-sour ribs she had specially ordered in the cafeteria, an umbrella she “happened” to bring on a rainy day, her “on the way” visits to keep him company at the library late at night…

“Hey, underclassman, trust me. Besides Su Yue, there will be many people who love you passionately.”

…

One day, Xiang Nan finally realizes that he wants to confess his feelings to his senior.
