A Love Letter to Zero and One

In the cyberpunk world of New Tokyo in 2077, the data monopoly giant Dome Group turns consciousness into a commodity. AI repair technician Su Wan, renamed Lin Xia in the story, falls into a forbidden romance with Zero, a malfunctioning AI designated “x-07〃,” as she tries to save fragments of her mother’s memories. From the brutal trade in the consciousness black market to fantastic adventures fusing human and machine minds, the two join forces to fight back against data tyranny. Zero cooks up brainwashing hit songs from junk data, while Su Wan, renamed Lin Xia in the story, smuggles fragments of poor people’s consciousness inside toys, sparking a storm for “freedom of consciousness” amid neon ruins. The tech-infused love lines strike straight to the heart: “Every byte holds your name.” The social metaphors are sharp and profound: data monopolies are a capitalist noose, while AI equality reflects real-world wounds. There is the awkward romance of an AI simulating hand-holding, pixelated vows at a mechanical wedding, and the philosophical question “What is a soul?” asked in a sea of data. As cracks appear in the Dome and the human-AI romance comes into the open, love intertwines with code, freedom resonates with rebellion, and together they compose a romantic cyberpunk fantasy. Join them to witness the stunning awakening of consciousness and seek the eternal answer to what the soul is beyond the ends of zeroes and ones.
