"Strange Stories from the Classic of Mountains and Seas: The Parallel World in the Eyes of the Candle Dragon" tells the story of Lu Chen, a researcher on the Classic of Mountains and Seas, who accidentally discovered a walking bronze candle dragon during a field trip in Yunnan. Out of strong curiosity and persistent pursuit of the truth of "The Classic of Mountains and Seas", he carefully followed Zhulong and stepped into a mysterious alien space - the Great Wilderness.
In this parallel world that was exactly the same as the records in "The Classic of Mountains and Seas", Lu Chen was shocked to discover that the strange beasts that were considered fictional in the book actually existed: the majestic Zhulong controlled the cycle of day and night, the gluttonous gluttons wreaked havoc in the mountains and forests, and the agile nine-tailed fox shuttled under the moonlight... Just as he was immersed in the shock, he met the mysterious woman Nan Zhu. Nan Zhu was wary of Lu Chen's arrival, mistakenly believing that he was a threat to disrupt the balance between the two worlds, and was once full of hostility towards him.
However, as a series of abnormal events occurred in the wilderness, such as the expansion of space cracks and the loss of control of alien beasts, Lu Chen and Nan Zhu had to work together to investigate the truth. In the process, they gradually discovered that Zhulong's eyes were the key link between the real world and the wild world, and the balance between the two worlds was facing an unprecedented crisis. It may be that the over-development and pollution of the real world have affected the stability of the wilderness world, or it may be that someone is secretly manipulating it, trying to use the power of the candle dragon to open the passage for personal gain.
During the adventure, Lu Chen also returned to the real world with a new understanding of the world of "The Classic of Mountains and Seas". He knew that his story with the Great Wilderness and Nanzhu had just begun.
