About the Summer We Have Left

[This is a tragic story. It starts out very sweet, but the latter half centers on an ending full of regrets. If you don't like tragic stories, please don't click.]

Not everyone gets their wish. Shen Qingtang certainly didn't.

The famous comic artist Shen Qingtang recently got a new neighbor across the hall: the person she had secretly loved in high school.

Jiang Yanli. His name was so familiar, and to Shen Qingtang, their long-awaited reunion felt like a blessing.

But at the same time, Shen Qingtang realized she could no longer reach this moon.

Amid the shifting light and shadows, Shen Qingtang spent the last month of her life savoring her final moments of happiness with Jiang Yanli.

Not every love is answered. At least the wind has heard.

Shen Qingtang never imagined she would reunite with Jiang Yanli after he became a university professor. And if the wind has heard her story, then let someone who knows it say this: Jiang Yanli, I love you.

People are always parting. Only Jiang Yanli had to say goodbye to the person he loved most.

Much later, at Shen Qingtang's funeral, Zhou Yuzhuo punched Jiang Yanli and demanded to know why he hadn't taken Shen Qingtang to the hospital.

Jiang Yanli froze. So he was the only one who hadn't known Shen Qingtang had just one year to live.

Honestly, Shen Qingtang, you were cruel.

Jiang Yanli couldn't remember how he got home. Only the wind had heard his story.

It took him a long time to understand: not every love is answered. At least Shen Qingtang had once loved him.
