In the gear of time, every era has its own tooth pattern. Parents in the 1970s once measured their lives between the scales of cloth stamps and food stamps, and weaved the future amidst the roar of machine tools and the melody of model operas. They forged youth into gears, quenched their ideals in sweat, and used the simplest tenacity to carve deep marks on the axis of the times.
I would like to dedicate this book to all the youth who have turned in the times, and to those who always believe that the gears will eventually turn into stars.
