What?! The Merman Assigned to Me Is Actually a Prince

[A devoted human who spoils his wife without question at first, then turns dark after being deceived x a cute mer-prince who acts coy at first and becomes a coward later]

[Mutual devotion + love at first sight + doting on each other + a little confinement]

Ji Yunzhou transmigrates to an interstellar world where humans and merfolk live together. To claim his grandfather’s inheritance, he reluctantly applies for a merfolk partner.

He is matched with an adorable mer with golden hair and blue eyes. The moment they meet, the mer’s eyes turn red as he pleads pitifully, “Big brother, I have nowhere to go. Can you take me in?”

Lost in one “big brother” after another, Ji Yunzhou takes the mer home.

This little mer seems incredibly hard to care for: he won’t drink nutritional supplements or wear synthetic clothes, his home must have a large swimming pool, and his aircraft has to be the latest model.

Ji Yunzhou overcomes every obstacle and works tirelessly to provide for his little mer. But just after they celebrate their “wedding” anniversary, his adorable mer disappears.

Saiou'er is the youngest prince of the merfolk. After a spat with his father, he sneaks out of the palace and, by chance, takes the place of a mer waiting to be matched, becoming the partner of a human man.

To enjoy free food and lodging, Saiou'er makes full use of his charms, pouting and cooing with every sweet, teasing word he can muster until the man is completely smitten. But when the time comes, Saiou'er abandons his “good big brother” without a second thought and secretly runs back to the palace.

When they meet again, his “good big brother,” eyes bloodshot, pins him hard against a corner wall and sneers, “You thought you could run after you got me interested?”
