Rule Horror: The Twin Mirrors

Highly recommended!!!! Breaking away from the conventional rules and weird stories, and incorporating some part of life, it is very beautiful! The most touching thing about "The Strange Tale of the Rules: Twin Eyes" is that it creates an "imperfect" but real enough protagonist - Lin Ye was never born strong. His growth is like a puzzle filled with blood and tears, and every step involves self-examination and questioning of responsibility. His "twin eyes" were never an invincible golden finger. It was originally an ability shared by his brother Lin Xi, with a greenishness of exploration and analysis; the power he regained after returning from sacrifice, although it is biased toward attack, has untamed edges. He would tremble under the pressure of the Lord of Rules, shrink out of worry when facing Su An'an, and be wary of temptations in the spiritual realm set by his brother - these hesitations and struggles made him break out of the "brainless fighting" rut and become more like an ordinary person groping forward in a desperate situation. But it is this "ordinaryness" that makes his growth particularly moving. He will face death in the white light of a nuclear bomb explosion, but in the void he will be awakened by his future self that "the essence of the twin eyes is symbiosis"; he can attack by tearing apart the rules barrier, but always remember that "power is for protection" rather than for showing off. The determination when facing the abyss of entropy, the prudence when facing Mu Qingchuan, and the complex trust when facing Lin Xi. Every choice is not just based on brute force, but is mixed with concern for partners, responsibility, and even thinking about the "rules" themselves. What's even more rare is that his strength is never isolated. Complementary with Lin Xi's "exploration-attack" ability, tacit cooperation with Chang Shiye's "charge-cover", even concern for Su An'an has become a weakness and armor - he is never a lone hero, but a practitioner who understands the true meaning of "symbiosis". The warning of "60% development" left by his future self just shows that he is still on the road, rather than reaching the peak in one fell swoop. This kind of Lin Ye, with the flesh and blood of a mortal and the muscles and bones of a hero, moves forward in the gap between rules and human nature. In his story, there is no overwhelming feeling of exhilaration, but there is the resilience to still believe that "the glimmer of light can reach the abyss" in desperate situations, and the warm heart that always beats behind the strength. This is perhaps the most touching thing about "The Eyes of the Twins": true strength is never invincible, but the courage to face the wind and rain despite knowing that you are fragile.
