[Synopsis]

What? Every daughter of the Xiao family must be drowned? Even newborn girls? Because of... a clan rule?!

What? After finally waiting for her father to come back and save her, she discovers he is saving her for the very same reason... a clan rule?!

When female prosecutor Xiao Xiao wakes again, this is the scene she faces. But what can she do now that she has been reborn as a baby?

Three secrets weigh so heavily on the Xiao clan that the entire household can barely breathe.

The clan's sacred relic, a fragmentary image of the Xiezhi, offers only cryptic responses. What happened in the past, what is happening now, and what will happen in the future all remain shrouded in mist.

Forget it. It's better to do what you know than what you don't. As a prosecutor from Dongda, solving cases and making a career for herself is the only path that matters.

She reviews case files and debates fiercely in court, her scholar's robes revealing a woman's grace.

A missing student, a murder involving illegal salt, a theft at an ancient temple, embezzled military provisions...

With new laws, she breaks old conventions and turns feudal rites on their head, but incurs the wrath of the aging emperor. His vermilion brush falls, and iron chains in the imperial prison ensnare her in a woman's robes.

What? Because she's a woman, she's doomed to die, as written in the Book of Fate?

I've had enough! She casts off her official hat and topples the dynasty! She will never be a sacrifice to imperial power!
