The Snake's Allure

When I was born, I had a tail. It scared the midwife out of her mind, and she told everyone that I must have committed countless heinous sins in my past life and was now suffering the consequences!

An old monk passing by took pity on me and gave me a snake-shaped jade pendant. He said it would let me live like a normal child until I turned eighteen. Less than a month after I put it on, my tail fell off on its own, leaving behind only a tiny mark.

After my eighteenth birthday, I should have quietly waited for death to come. But instead of the King of Hell, an eight-tailed fox showed up. He said I owed him a tail, and that I had to carry his child to repay the debt. He also made me his spirit medium.

At the same time, another white snake latched onto me, claiming that he and I were destined to be a perfect match in every life!

Whose words should I believe?
