Refuse to be a freeloader. If you want something, take it yourself.
In a moment of impulse, Sang Shichu saved an old woman.
Her whole family prospered because of her, while she was sent to the countryside to recuperate after suffering a grave injury.
Seven years later, when she returned, she discovered that at some point her parents had adopted a daughter.
The adopted daughter lived in her room and basked in the affection of her parents and older brother. Even her fiancé had nothing but praise for her.
No one welcomed Sang Shichu back. They were only worried that her return might upset the adopted daughter.
At the adopted daughter's birthday party, Sang Shichu was kidnapped and nearly drowned. Clinging to her last hope, she called for help from the older brother who had once doted on her most.
All she got in reply was, “Stop making a scene. Today is Duoxin's birthday.”
After narrowly escaping death, Sang Shichu came to her senses.
What family? She wanted nothing to do with that laughable affection!
She fought and snatched back, piece by piece, everything that belonged to her.
Some time later, the family who had once treated her like dirt regretted it and wept as they begged for her forgiveness.
Sang Shichu had this to say: You made your own mess, so deal with it. If you made it, you can eat it!

Sang Shichu had a dream in which she slept with Xi Beichi, the campus heartthrob and top student.
Ever since that dream, she noticed that he, usually so carefree and rebellious, kept looking at her with a wounded expression, as if she were some heartless man who had betrayed a lovesick maiden.
Later, someone asked him, “How did someone as impressive as you, Young Master Xi, become so henpecked? That's not like you at all.”
The man's long, powerful legs were casually crossed, his gaze languid and nonchalant. “What's wrong with being henpecked? If she lets me sleep in our room tonight, I'd give her my life.”
