The play is based on the work experience of the famous forensic doctor Wang Xuemei. It tells the story of an unconventional special case team composed of picky team leader Shang Jie, dedicated and professional female forensic doctor Xia Ying, snake oil trace evaluator Li Xuekai, natural information analyst Song Mi, and rich second-generation psychological profiler Ying Ming. They gathered various "unreliable" people in the bureau. Through joint efforts, they solved various bizarre murder cases one after another.
