A Record of Peace in Plain Robes

An untitled volume of The Peace Records, a traveler without spiritual power, and a tangled web of cause and effect spanning a thousand years. Yun He is an ordinary traveler who earns his living recording stories. Carrying the ancient book The Peace Records, passed down through his sect, he journeys across mountains, rivers, and seas. He writes of the many facets of the world and the joys and sorrows of its people, never realizing that he has long been caught up in the astonishing scheme of an ancient banished immortal. When he saves a boy named Mo Yu, tainted by baleful energy, in Lingze Town; when the writing in The Peace Records twists and rearranges itself; when the seals in the snowy wastes, the Eastern Sea, and the imperial mausoleum begin to break one by one, Yun He finally realizes that every story he records is quietly repairing a forbidden formation powerful enough to overturn heaven and earth. The banished immortal seeks to rebuild the immortal realm with the power of the people’s wishes. The spirit within the records is willing to descend into the deepest hell to stop him. And behind the massacre of the Mo family lies a betrayal and redemption no one knows about. Is Yun He an innocent chronicler, or a pawn whose role was written long ago? White robes stained with blood, brush in hand, he challenges heaven.
