The grassroots commander Meng Tieshan, who was born as a farmer, led the guerrillas to survive and grow under the Japanese army's "Three Guangs Policy", and eventually became an iconic force in the North China War of Resistance. The North China War Zone from 1937 to 1945 takes the Eighth Route Army's Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region as the stage, integrating real battles (Pingxingguan, One Hundred Regiments Battle) and fictional plots.
