(No system + real waste + a slight change of the plot if there is a beast + plot time travel)
There are millions of causes and effects flowing down the long river of time, and the end of time is already determined. Even if it is changed in advance, there is an invisible big hand secretly correcting the ending.
When you play with time, time is also playing with you. Changes begin with unprovoked causes and end with set consequences. Time, cause and effect are all great ways, and if you act half-heartedly, the outcome will be completely different.
