Honghuang: With Heaven-Defying Comprehension, I Join the Western Teachings from the Start

Yuan Shang transmigrates into the Primordial Great World by accident, and from the start finds himself in the midst of the Six Saints proving their Dao and recruiting disciples far and wide.

He knows that in the Primordial World, becoming a Saint's disciple and joining a great sect is the way to gain a firm foothold.

The Chan Sect, however, places great importance on one's lineage, and has extremely high standards for accepting disciples.

As for the Jie Sect, setting aside the atmosphere within its ranks, none of its disciples will escape the calamity of the Investiture of the Gods in the future.

So the safest choice is the Western Teachings. For one thing, Zhunti and Jieyin are fiercely protective of their own.

More importantly, when the Western Teachings rise to prominence in the future, there may even be a chance to become a Buddha or an honored patriarch.

And so Yuan Shang successfully becomes a disciple of Saint Jieyin.

With the blessing of his heaven-defying comprehension, the Western Teachings gain another Saint. From then on, Buddhism flourishes and exerts its might over the entire Primordial World.
