In order to cling to power, the Su family replaced the legitimate daughter (the heroine's stepsister) originally destined for the Fu family with an illegitimate daughter (the heroine) who was despised by the family and had a cowardly personality. The heroine not only has to face the overt and covert struggle for power within the Fu family, but also has to deal with her husband who may "not wake up" at any time.
