Honey-Glazed Wild Bones

Main characters: Ji Mingli and Liang Youshen

[Devoted, scheming architecture mogul] x [Sickly beauty of a novelist]

[An insecure, possessive tycoon of a male lead after marriage x a pitiful female lead who only wanted someone to settle down with, but fell into a wolf's den]

Ji Mingli lives up to her name: glossy black hair, porcelain skin, sweet and intoxicating. It's just a shame she's frail and sickly.

She gets neither the family fortune nor their affection, and even her fiancé has become her younger sister's man.

Ji Mingli is gentle and good-tempered. Everyone assumes she'll take a step back for the greater good, but instead she calmly calls her fiancé's uncle.

“I want to get married. Are you free?”

The usually composed man freezes for a few seconds, his hand trembling slightly as he holds the phone.

“For you, I'm always at your service.”

-

Everyone knows Liang Youshen is restrained and proper. He never has any women hanging around him, yet he alone likes to keep Ji Mingli by his side.

Someone jokes, “You're so concerned about that young lady. Don't tell me you've fallen for her?”

The man bites down on his cigarette, its hazy white smoke concealing the emotion in his eyes.

“Don't talk nonsense. Her reputation matters.”

He spent year after year walking the road of unrequited love, never once speaking of the passion surging inside him.

-

Since birth, Liang Youshen has always been a man in a position of power: distinguished and self-possessed, arrogant and aloof to the core.

At first, Ji Mingli thought so too.

Until one late night after their wedding,

the impeccably dressed man leaned close to her ear, his voice low and husky. “Baby, my lychee seems to be perfectly ripe...”

-

I am wild to the bone, yet I lose myself in the honeyed sweetness that seeps into your very bones.
