After transmigrating into the Three Kingdoms era, Lin Chuan becomes Liu Bei's military strategist, scheming to take all of Xu Province for himself and laboring day and night to lay the foundations for Liu Bei's rise.
But after Zhuge Liang leaves his village, Lin Chuan is repeatedly pushed aside and discarded once his usefulness is over.
Lin Chuan turns around and joins Cao Cao's camp, helping the Great Wei sweep across the land.

Zhuge Liang coughs up blood at Wuzhang Plains and cries, “Why was I born when Chuan was already alive?”
Only then does Liu Bei, who spent his whole turbulent life in Lin Chuan's shadow, realize just how terribly wrong he was.
