The Cherry Blossoms Cry Only at Night

I am an insecure girl, a flower blooming in a forgotten corner.

I never dare to face myself in the mirror.

Even though there are so many people in my life who love me,

my insecurity is still rooted deep within me.

My life has always been incomplete because some of my memories are missing.

Whenever I look up at the sky, my eyes redden before I even realize it.

I’m insecure and pessimistic. I’m just an ordinary girl.

But they all treasure me as if I were something precious.

I’m just an ice cube cradled in their hands. I was never meant to need warmth.

But if they truly manage to move me, perhaps I’ll melt.

In the early hours of the morning, I always lean by the window and watch the night outside.

I wonder if he’s still awake all night, missing me too.

The joys and sorrows of life are always called fleeting.

And among life’s lush branches, joy and sorrow keep being written again and again.

When the rainy season comes, perhaps the flowers will bloom even more brilliantly.

I’m waiting for the rainy season, and I’ve saved my youth for just one person.

I wonder if, among the memories I’ve forgotten, someone is always watching me as I walk alone, step by step, into the distance.

I often have this feeling. I often look back again and again as I walk.

But who is waiting for me? Who gave me all this pain?

With my head lowered as I walk, I seem to have forgotten to look up at the sky.

When I was a child, I would often stand by the sea, lost in thought.

I’d watch the setting sun slowly sink beneath the vast ocean...

The person I miss: is it him, or the past already swallowed by the tides?
