Devouring the Heavens: From Vein Slave to Godslayer

"Those who have yet to awaken their Heavenly Meridians are all slaves to the meridians."

Sixteen-year-old Lu Li was locked to the altar of the Qinglan Kingdom. The instant the meridian-testing stone exploded, dark gold runes crawled across the crown prince's throat, and Lu Li tasted what it was like to devour Heavenly Meridians. The price of awakening his Chaos bloodline was the agony of karmic fire burning his heart, as well as the ancient demon in the bronze coffin grinning at him.

From a wanted criminal in the imperial capital to the most dangerous heretic of the Xuanxiao Sword Pavilion, Lu Li held the forbidden power to devour the divine meridians of all the heavens. Yet on the star chart of the Three Sacred Domains, he saw his own fate:

"He who opens the heavens with chaos shall ultimately be slain by the Heavenly Dao."

When the Immortal-Slaying Sword of an Upper Realm holy envoy pressed against his brow, Lu Li crushed the nine-hundredth Heavenly Meridian he had devoured. The karmic fire in his eyes reflected a sky full of blood rain, and he laughed maniacally. "Who says the path to slaying heaven can't begin with a slave to the meridians?"
