[Surprising comedy + grotesque mutations + passionate adventure + countless experts] The greatest book in the world
After a trip to Tokyo, globe-trotting hunter Nangong Zhiyi bids a fond farewell to Tanaka Keiko. Full of joy, Zhiyi heads to Fengcheng to congratulate his uncle, Murong Ge, only to be shunned by everyone at the anniversary celebration. His uncle’s martial arts school is threatened by powerful enemies, but Zhiyi defeats one expert after another, leaving the crowd astonished. To find the people who killed his parents, he travels overseas to compete in the World Martial Arts Tournament. Thanks to his exceptional abilities, Zhiyi wins the championship, wipes out the world’s largest anti-human dark organization, and becomes a hero. The women around him become even more enamored of him.
There are plenty of highlights: at the anniversary celebration, Zhiyi defeats the psychic grand master Jiumo Zhang; at the Seven Star Tower, he beats Yin Lisheng, the world’s second-ranked fighter, known as “The Unseeing God”; he kills “Evil Lai,” Kui, whose pain nerves have been removed, while rescuing Murong Ge; at the World Martial Arts Tournament, he defeats the illusion-wielding “Mysterious Witch” and “Flying Passion Demon” Yan Zifeng; he then beats “Blue Demon” Nangong Yan in a life-or-death ring of fire; and on Nameless Island, he fights to the death against “Demon Among Demons” Bolao, who has alien genes. Most moving of all is Zhiyi’s tangled love story with Long Liexiang. The story features many extraordinary characters, including a duel between blind swordsmen, drinking contests, fist-betting, stone-gambling, and a host of experts, each with their own distinct personality and appearance.
The story is very fast-paced, just like watching a movie
