I was born on the frontier and raised amid the yellow sands. My father and brothers were fierce tigers guarding the border.
By imperial decree, I became a secondary consort in the Eastern Palace.
The Crown Prince, Qin Che, had once seen me ride and draw a bow. He said, "You should have been an eagle in the sky."
But the inner palace caged my wings. Even Shen Yan, my childhood sweetheart, could only send me a peach blossom from beyond the palace walls.
After my daughter was born, Xiao Che ascended the throne, and I became his Noble Consort.
The Northern Di cavalry trampled the frontier, bringing devastating news. My father and brothers fell in the yellow sands, and the hundred thousand troops of the Lin family were wiped out.
I smashed my hairpin and donned my father's old armor.
On the city tower, Xiao Che roared, "A Zhao! Huan'er and I will wait for you to return!"
Amid the rolling yellow sands, I cut down the enemy general, only to see Shen Yan standing before the enemy ranks.
He smiled and said, "A Zhao, isn't the wind beyond these palace walls fiercer?"
This is my first review, just because it's worth it. I was just reading it out of boredom, but I didn't expect that I became obsessed with it. It's a pity that it's not the finished article. I'm eager to catch up on more. I look forward to the author's updates every day, 😄
It's okay to deliberately conceive, but I personally think that it doesn't have the immersive feeling of really reading what others say. But writing a book is not easy, and the fruits of labor are worthy of respect, so I'd better give it five stars!
