Deep in the Forest, I Find an Immortal

Among the vast cold forests and mountains of Northeast China, an ancient practice known as “spirit-riding” has been passed down for generations. When someone falls gravely ill or a household is troubled, a spirit-rider lets a deity possess them to drive away evil and heal the sick. The mountains are high, the forests dense, and few people venture there, yet the legends continue to be passed down among the people.
