Lin Ming was an orphan from Blue Star. Through relentless hard work, he successfully founded a company and made it onto the Fortune Global 500 list. But on his wedding night, his wife and her family betrayed and murdered him. By chance, he transmigrates into the Primordial World, taking over the body of Yin Shou, the last Human Emperor, and awakens the Merit System. The System grants merit for contributing to humanity and improving its development. Merit can be exchanged for magical treasures, cultivation techniques, improved cultivation, cultivation boosts for others, pills, rare heavenly materials and earthly treasures, the appointment of divine generals, and all kinds of other items. Lin Ming also receives a beginner’s gift pack, unlocking the Human Emperor’s Primordial Chaos Sacred Body and Human Emperor’s Primordial Chaos Art, along with the Chaos Pearl.
The Primordial World is recovering from the calamity that ended the Wu-Yao War, while the Investiture of the Gods calamity is brewing. Knowing how the story unfolds, Lin Ming leads humanity in developing quietly. He secretly brings the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin clans under his command, and resurrects the Ancestral Dragon, Ancestral Phoenix, and Ancestral Qilin. Using the Chaos Pearl to conceal the secrets of fate, he devotes himself to cultivation while reforming the court, improving its institutions, and purging corrupt officials. He also secretly trains human cultivators, sending them undercover into various powers and dispatching them across the Primordial World to gather rare heavenly materials and earthly treasures. In doing so, he strengthens humanity’s foundations and fortune, earning a vast amount of merit.
