[Multiple characters reborn + marriage swap + possessive love]
When Shen Zhiyi’s half-sister, Shen Yuyan, proposes swapping their marriages, Shen Zhiyi knows that Shen Yuyan has been reborn too.
In her previous life, she married Jiang Youqi, heir to the marquis’s estate, but after three years, he sent her to the bed of the eunuch Shi Wuhan, all to secure himself an official post.
Meanwhile, Shen Yuyan married Mu Feng, the top-ranked palace graduate, but couldn’t endure the hardships of being posted to the southwest. She divorced him, returned to the capital, and became a spinster no one would marry.
When they open their eyes again, they have swapped their marriages.
Shen Zhiyi thinks it would be wonderful to marry that gentle, refined scholar and leave the capital behind for good.
She never expected that she still wouldn’t escape the fate of her previous life.

Everyone believes that Shi Wuhan, the ruthless and heartless head of the Eastern Depot known as the Nine-Thousand-Year-Old, has no heart.
But on the day the eldest Miss Shen gets married, the usually languid lord of the Eastern Depot is seen with red-rimmed eyes.
The bride, who should be celebrating her wedding night, is discovered to have vanished from the bridal chamber without a trace.
Someone saw her, dressed in phoenix coronet and bridal robes, pinned against the end of an alley and kissed passionately.
And the rogue responsible is none other than Shi Wuhan!
At first:
“You like him that much? You’re determined to marry him?”
“I’d like to see if he’ll still want you once you’ve lost your virtue!”
But later:
“Please, don’t consummate your marriage with him.”
“How about I be your lover?”
