[Introspective + bonds + friendship + growth + comeback + romance]
Lin Youjing never confessed his feelings to Shu Yao, never once saying the words, “I love you.”
There were no sweet nothings between them, only an unspoken understanding: you know me, and I know you.
There was no need to say it. They had understood each other all along.
The heroine, Shu Yao, is thoughtful but not weak, sensitive yet restrained. She is no prisoner of her emotions, but a calm, steady hand at the helm. She never makes a scene or seeks attention. Even at the heart of a storm, she manages to hold on to her convictions while seeming to give way.
The hero, Lin Youjing, appears to be a cool, composed elite, but beneath the surface he hides deep affection and fierce devotion. Rational and restrained, he is skilled at concealing his feelings and does not let people get close easily. But once he has made up his mind, his love is steady and profound. He has the recklessness of his youth and the restraint of a grown man. He is decisive in business, but not good with words when it comes to love. He loves deeply, and shows it mostly through his actions.
It's so beautiful, why don't many people see it? I like this kind of long-running narrative.
