In 2009, the Baby-Faced Assassin was finally drafted by the Warriors. Klay Thompson was still honing his skills in the NCAA, while Draymond Green remained an unknown big man. At the time, the Warriors had a weak frontcourt and an unorthodox, offense-first approach that neglected defense. They desperately needed help on the boards and at the defensive end. Luo Zhigang, a prodigy, entered the NBA draft at nineteen straight out of high school and was a steal for the Warriors with the nineteenth pick in the second round. No one could have imagined that this young Chinese big man would become the most crucial piece of the Warriors’ new dynasty.
Curry: “Ha, Zhigang’s under the basket, so I’m shooting. I can relax completely.”
Klay: “Guys, if you get the ball, shoot it. Let’s have some fun. Zhigang will take care of everything.”
Draymond: “Big bro Zhigang, box out for me and help me pad my rebounding stats.”
The Mad Scientist: “Zhigang, you’re exactly the kind of big man I’ve been looking for. The Warriors can’t do without you!”
KD: “Man, with Zhigang here, I don’t even get the chance to join the Warriors!”
I’m a longtime Curry fan. Whether I’ll bash LeBron is hard to say, but praising Curry is a given. Kobe, O’Neal, and the rest all rank below the Baby-Faced Assassin. The only person allowed to give him a hard time is the protagonist. No one else is allowed to bully Curry.
A lifelong bromance, and a treat for fans of the Baby-Faced Assassin. The author firmly believes Curry’s fans will support me all the way through this book. Finally, I’m kneeling before my readers... no, my lords, and hoping you’ll whip me into shape. I’m a seasoned author, so you can count on the quality. I absolutely won’t disappoint you.
Is it okay if the talent doesn't appear all the time? It's okay if you know it. Why do you keep showing it out?
