The Scheming Office Girl

In the early 1990s, five girls from impoverished mountain villages, carrying hopes for a better life, squeezed aboard a green train bound for Guangdong and plunged into the clamor of an electronics factory assembly line. Sparks from soldering circuit boards scorched their fingertips, while cramped dormitory bunk beds bore witness to their youth and exhaustion. Their resilience was tested by their supervisors' scolding and meager wages.

Adrift in a strange land, they became each other's steadfast support. Determined to change their fates, they each started their own businesses and stumbled forward in their respective industries, turning hardship into confidence and mutual support into armor.
