[Rules horror + terror + beastfolk + fantasy]
Lu Xi was waiting for her college admission letter. She had just found a temporary job to ease the burden on her mother when a flash of white light suddenly swept her away. The moment she opened her eyes, bad luck began piling up. First she was dumped in the middle of a road; before she could react, she was “transported” to a strange place, with a chilling note appearing out of nowhere in her hand:
[Welcome to Wonderful Island. Rules are everywhere. To keep you safe, please take them seriously. Here are the island’s general rules:
1. You are…%#…an ordinary person. Remember, you are only an ordinary person. Do not meddle in other people’s business.
2. The moonlit night is beautiful. While bathing in the moonlight, remember to look up at the moon.
3. Nights on Wonderful Island are dangerous. Before darkness falls completely, make sure you have somewhere to shelter.
4. Wonderful Island is home to humans and beastfolk. It is best for the two races to live in harmony.
5. Golden clouds are a local attraction. Wherever there are golden clouds, there are only ordinary people.]
Reading the strange rules, such as “ordinary people must not meddle in other people’s business” and “find shelter before nightfall,” Lu Xi lets out a baboon-like scream and accepts her fate. Little does she know that this fantastical nightmare, where humans and beastfolk coexist and the moon and golden clouds conceal hidden secrets, is only just beginning to unfold its tale of a lost journey home…
