Siheyuan: An Ordinary Life on an Ordinary Road

He Aijun died in the dilapidated courtyard of his old family home. When he first watched Love in the Courtyard, he had even laughed at its male lead, He Yuzhu. He never imagined he would end up with the same fate as He Yuzhu.

He Aijun’s soul floated in the air as he watched the villagers gather his body and bury him in his family’s ancestral grave. Even at the very end, he never saw the four ungrateful wretches he had raised.

Just as He Aijun’s heart turned to ash, a powerful suction force appeared above his head. When he awoke again, countless memories flooded his mind. Only then did he realize he had become He Yuzhu.

He had transmigrated and become He Yuzhu. In this life, he, He Aijun, would live on in He Yuzhu’s place and never get involved with widows again.

In this life, He Yuzhu only wanted to be an ordinary man, following an ordinary path.

But the trees may long for stillness while the wind will not subside. The courtyard’s scoundrels had no intention of letting him live in peace. So be it, then. Let’s see who has the last laugh.
