The story continues as a spin-off of the Three Lives Three Worlds series. The main plot tells the story of Emperor Donghua and Feng Jiu's reunion, and the story of the old fairy doting on the little fox. The subplot also includes their friends and relatives, Lord Ye Hua and Aunt Bai Qian, Mo Yuan, the God of War, Shao Wan, the ancestor of the demon clan, and the most entangled pair, Lian Song and Cheng Yu, and the love and hatred of each pair of CPs.
