Beneath the Starlight, We Choose Each Other

Lin Xingchen, a first-year architecture student, was bored and restless during the opening ceremony, so she secretly sketched a chibi comic of Lu Xingchen, the top student speaking onstage. She gave him cat ears and icy special effects, with the caption "A walking air conditioner."

Then her sketchbook flew out of her hands, and she was caught on the spot.

Lu Xingchen glanced at it and said coolly, "Not bad drawing. Your observation skills could use some work."

The whole school was in an uproar, and the "Xingchen CP" went viral overnight.

Lin Xingchen thought this was just an embarrassing start, but then...

They "ran into each other" in the cafeteria, the library, the campus store, and on the sports field...

"What's with this walking air conditioner?"

Only later did she learn that none of those encounters had been by chance. They were deliberate.

Because ten years ago, at an amusement park, a little girl had handed an extra carousel ticket to a boy sitting alone, lost in thought.

He had waited ten years, and finally found her.
