Usurping Fate in the Underworld: From the Start, I Foresee the Deadly Calamity of the Investiture of the Gods

Reborn in the Netherworld Blood Sea, Lu Chen has the stone embryo Nuwa used to mend the sky embedded in his right eye, while his left hand wields a Book of Life and Death that can defy fate. He uncovers the truth behind the Investiture of the Gods calamity: Yuanshi imprisoned nine thousand heavenly dragons to forge the Investiture of the Gods list; Tongtian carved out his own heart to nurture Duobao’s Dao embryo; and Hongjun’s corpse was pinned to the Blood Sea with the ribs of the Twelve Ancestral Witches!

[Sacrifice to Slay a Sage]

The Sin Mirror reveals the karmic ties of his past life: he was originally a spark planted by Nuwa in Hongjun’s primordial spirit to slay a sage. The resentful spirits of the Jie sect become a blood curse for the Investiture of the Gods, while the dragon clan’s soul lamps burn in the clouds above the sages. Lu Chen draws a sword from an Ancestral Witch’s bone and uses the waters of the River of Forgetfulness as ink to rewrite Heaven’s mandate:

He shatters the ley lines beneath Yuxu Palace and seizes the stone embryo in the Chaos Green Lotus that will resurrect Hongjun;

He turns over the back of the Investiture of the Gods list, making the blood curse devour the sages’ true spirits;

As he tramples Zixiao Palace to dust, a bronze coffin rises from the Blood Sea, its lid engraved with the words: “The slayer of sages is the Heavenly Dao.”

Hidden threads intertwine: a crack in the bottom of Meng Po’s bowl conceals a diagram of the sage-slaying formation; Pingxin’s broken bone takes root in his spine; Duobao’s Dao embryo is tethered by an umbilical cord to Tongtian’s Zhuxian Sword... This time, he will cast the sages into eternal ruin and make the Netherworld Heaven itself!
