Gong Ling slept for seventy years. When she woke, her ten-year-old son had become an eighty-year-old iceberg of a man. She also had a grandson and three great-grandchildren. But why was each one of them worse off than the last?
[Her grandson and his wife won’t take responsibility and can’t tell right from wrong. They spoil their adopted daughter, who leads them around by the nose. They push their biological child further and further away, until the adopted daughter, an ungrateful wretch, causes their deaths in a car accident.]
When kids won’t behave, they usually need a good thrashing. A few smacks should do the trick.
[The eldest great-grandson, deprived of love as a child, is drawn to a girl at his company who’s like a ray of sunshine. He falls for her while following her to roadside food stalls, strolling down busy streets, and visiting amusement parks to experience a different life. But she only sees him as a backup. He turns dark and brooding, becoming a gloomy, obsessive madman who resorts to kidnapping and imprisonment, among other crimes. In the end, he lands in prison.]
Gong Ling can’t be a girl like a ray of sunshine, but she’s determined to be a great-grandma like one! She gets her eldest great-grandson to experience all of these things with her first.
[Her great-granddaughter was switched at birth, and after she is brought home, the adopted daughter makes trouble for her at every turn. Her biological parents favor the adopted daughter and hurt her again and again. Starved of love, she falls for the school bully, the only person who ever made her feel safe. Their relationship turns into a melodramatic game of cat and mouse, until she becomes depressed and takes her own life.]
Her parents favor someone else? Listen to Great-Grandma and dump them. Out of sight, out of mind.
No sense of security? The main problem is that she has no money. Gong Ling may not have much else, but she has plenty of money!
[The second great-grandson falls out with his family over his pursuit of the occult. In the end, the so-called master steals his destiny, turns his corpse into a puppet, and refines his soul into a vengeful ghost. It’s a truly horrific fate.]
The occult? This old woman who’s lived for thousands of years knows a thing or two.
Have you ever felt that this book is very similar to a very popular short play, in which the great-grandmother returns to 18 years old?
So beautiful, recommended (๑>◡<๑)👍🏻
You can continue to write this book, it looks quite exciting. First give me five stars to encourage the author to continue writing. I will support the book first 😘
It sounds great. The master of metaphysics who loves to hear is back.
It's great to read. I hope the author will keep writing.
