The Great Desolation: The Legend of the Northern Dipper's Nine Stars

Xu Yinyuan, whose soul came from the modern world, accidentally transmigrated to the Primordial World and was reborn as the Hidden Light Star Lord, Youbi, the ninth star of the Big Dipper. But fate had other plans: with his innate origin incomplete, he had no choice but to fall into the cycle of reincarnation and be reborn as a mortal. He joined the Chan Sect as an ordinary man and became the personal disciple of the Great Master Lingbao, drawn into the earth-shattering Calamity of the Investiture of the Gods, an upheaval that shook all three realms.

As the Shang and Zhou dynasties gave way to one another and the tides of change surged, the whole world seemed to be caught at the heart of a great storm. Xu Yinyuan, carrying the memories of his past life as a Star Lord and wielding the profound immortal arts of the Chan Sect, secretly set himself what seemed like a “humble” goal: to be a “cautious immortal,” keeping his head down until the very end and achieving godhood through his physical body.
