[Urban fantasy + ghosts and spirits + play the pig to eat the tiger + scheming]
Arrested from the start! Lin Chen, an antique shop owner who seems like an ordinary man, has just dealt with a tricky Class-A vengeful object when he is arrested on the spot by Zhao Yue, the cold, beautiful captain of the Special Incident Response Center!
“Illegally handling a high-risk vengeful object? Officer, I was just finding them a home and listening to their stories.”
Facing interrogation, Lin Chen remains perfectly calm. The Class-A doll spirit Chiyo, a vengeful ghost that the authorities could neither control nor keep from going berserk, is as docile as a cat around him! He resolves the crisis with ease, leaving everyone stunned.
Everyone thinks he's just an ordinary guy who knows a few tricks, but they don't realize he's the real mastermind, someone who can communicate with all things!
From then on, the haughty Ice Queen of a captain has no choice but to come asking for his help time and again.
“Lin Chen, this case is a real headache…”
“Easy enough. We'll do things by the book. But Captain Zhao, your glabella is dark, and you've got a hidden ailment… Want me to ‘take a look’? My services come at a very ‘special’ price, you know~”
