This book looks at things from a human perspective. If you’d rather see things from a god’s perspective, feel free to leave.

This is a story about a mortal body that rivals the gods.

The Seven and the Heavenly Principles are powerful gods who claim to stand with humanity.

Yet with a single thought, they could destroy all human society.

How should we regard the Heavenly Principles and the gods, and how can we trust them?

Should we treat the Seven as true gods and believe in their divinity?

But divine nature is often fickle. In a good mood, the gods can bring humanity blessings; in a fit of anger, they can unleash disaster.

Should we treat the Seven as human allies and trust their humanity?

But humans make mistakes, and people’s hearts are easily corrupted.

Then Furina, who plays the role of a god, stands before Rainer.

Furina: “Rainer, seriously? You’re going to wage war on the Seven and the Heavenly Principles?”

Rainer: “We have no choice. I’m human, and they’re gods. They have the power to wipe out all of humanity.”

“Even if we think there’s only a one percent chance the gods are our enemies,”

“we have to treat that possibility as certain!”

“Because I’m human… I refuse to put my life in the hands of people who can decide whether we live or die on a whim!”

[Either give your life for righteousness, or live forever and end up standing alongside the wicked.]
