A Beauty's Schemes

I am the wife of Prince Xiao Zheng.

Everyone says I am fortunate. Who doesn't know that the prince is aloof and taciturn?

Yet he treats me differently.

I am the apple of Xiao Zheng's eye.

But after leaving home for three years to manage the flood relief, he returned with a young woman.

This young woman is quite remarkable. She can make both white sugar and refined salt, and even manufacture gunpowder.

To make her his principal consort,

my husband is willing to take my life.

But he doesn't know

that I may be the sharpest hairpin

capable of taking his life.
