[Mostly everyday life] + [Practical recipes you can make at home] + [My System has come to life] + [Heartwarming brother-and-sister startup] + [Absurd plot] + [Soapy twists] + [Absolutely unhinged writing]
When master chef Zhou Shu transmigrates to an alternate world that's a culinary wasteland, he stares at the biohazardous dishes lining the streets and falls into deep thought:
Sweet-and-sour ribs marinated in dish soap? West Lake fish in vinegar thickened with disinfectant? Are all the chefs in this other world chemistry class reps?
The day he binds himself to a System, Zhou Shu discovers that the thing can actually whimper: "Host, if you're mean to me again, I'll... I'll cry, QAQ!"
Even more absurdly, whenever he develops a new recipe, a mysterious girl's review appears on the System interface:
"The big-bowl noodles are one point short on cooking time, but the owner's looks get 10,086 points!"
Forced to make a living by running a street stall, Zhou Shu wields a spatula in one hand to win over diners and trains his tsundere System with the other:
"If you mess with my sense of taste again today, I'll use your real body as a rolling pin!"
But why does that mysterious diner, always cloaked in black, order ten portions to go every time? And why do they keep sending encrypted messages late at night?
"Chef Zhou, you wouldn't want the whole world to find out that your System is actually a living, breathing beauty, would you?"
A novel whose plot you can never guess, packed with shamelessly over-the-top twists.
This is the author's debut novel, which may be a bit abstract. Please read it lightly, and it is guaranteed to have a sweet ending.
