Brother, When Are You Going to Marry Me?

Jiang Yan first met Shen Li at a wedding banquet.

Just as he was about to leave, a little girl with a childish voice tugged at his trouser leg.

She wore a pale pink dress and a pair of little leather shoes. Her eyes were bright and black as she looked up at him and timidly called, “Big brother.”

Jiang Yan lowered his head and looked at her impassively, his brows drawing together slightly. “You’ve got the wrong person.”

The little girl immediately shook her head and clung to his leg. “No, I want you to be my big brother.”

Jiang Yan: “...”

Irritated, he tried to pull her away, but an elder from the Shen family had gotten drunk and simply placed the little girl in his arms. Patting his shoulder with a cheerful laugh, he said, “Xiao Yan, I’m counting on you to look after Li Li from now on!”

Jiang Yan frowned at the little bundle in his arms. Her round cheek rested against his suit, and her eyes were brimming with trust and dependence.

He sighed. It seemed fate really had foisted a little shadow on him.
