Begonias Bloom Early in Spring

The Ning'an Marquis household is known throughout the court as a family of good-for-nothings.

Marquis Ning'an Wen Pingyuan is unambitious and spends his days loafing around.

His wife, Ruan Jingshu, spoils their children and indulges in pleasure.

Their heir, Wen Qi, wastes his time on cockfighting and dog-walking, with no useful skills to speak of.

Their legitimate daughter, Wen Ruan, is just as hopeless, unable to play music, play strategy games, write calligraphy, or paint.

The emperor slapped his thigh. “Wonderful! A family of good-for-nothings like this is simply perfect for our Prince Shun!”

(This is a slow-burn story about a pampered, close-knit family, told through an ensemble cast.)

(A soft, adorable, laid-back heroine x a gentle, scheming hero x a seemingly innocent but secretly cunning second male lead)
