In a cage in the Black Temple, Maiev was chained to the wall. The helmet that usually hid her face was nowhere to be seen, and her silky silver hair fell over her shoulders. Though she was covered in wounds, they could not hide her delicate beauty. Her face was cold as carved ice as she stared at Zhang Qi. “Help me kill Illidan, and I'll be yours from now on.”
Zhang Qi had just freed Maiev from her shackles when her words nearly made him stumble and fall. “Huh?”
“Are you going to break your promise? You said before that you would choose me...” Maiev bit her lip, her voice growing softer, but she still stared at Zhang Qi with stubborn, icy eyes.
“Wait, wait, wait!” Zhang Qi gestured frantically. “You know what that means in human language, right?”
“I mean exactly what I said. Or were your words earlier all a lie?” At some point, Maiev's crescent blade had come to rest against Zhang Qi's throat.
Zhang Qi broke into a cold sweat. Looking at the menacing blade, he had no doubt that if he answered no, his head would be separated from his body the very next moment.
“Ahem, Maiev, listen to me...” Looking at Maiev's stubborn gaze, Zhang Qi could no longer get a word out. Everything that had happened since he entered Azeroth flashed before his eyes. This was supposed to be an adventure, so why was I being forced into a romance?
Personally, I like Maiev very much. I rarely see this kind of thing. Come on.
